Homework and Oral Examination:
- Homework problem sets are handed out every other week.
Individual, handwritten solutions are to be turned in during the
next tutorial session, i.e., there are 14 days to work out the
solution. The homework sets that have been handed in are graded.
For a successful participation it is necessary to obtain half of the
maximally possible homework points in total. The final homework
grade is only "pass" or "fail".
- Even though the homework solutions are individually written down
and handed in by every student seperately, it is strongly encouraged
to solve the homework problems in groups.
- Each student who has obtained the homework grade "pass" is
eligible to participate in an individual oral examination of about
30 minutes (20 minutes minimal length, 35 minutes maximal length).
- It is necessary to sign up for the examination at the examination
office.
- Possible dates for the exam to take place are listed
in
http://www.iaa.tu-bs.de/vbach/2025-25_SoSe/Lehre-SoSe-2025-25.html .
Send an e-mail to Mrs. Stoll including your name, your
student ID number (Matrikelnummer), your study programme (e.g.,
"Master in Data Science"), the desired date and time of the exam,
and the name of the course (Modul) of the examination.
